Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you service light vehicles or utes?
No. We are strictly heavy diesel specialists. We do not service passenger cars or standard 4WDs. Our tooling is dedicated entirely to trucks, earthmoving plant, and agricultural machinery.
Q: What is the difference between a COI and HVRAS, and do you do both?
Yes, we provide both. A COI (Certificate of Inspection) is a periodic roadworthy inspection required for heavy vehicles (over 4.5t) to ensure they are safe to drive. HVRAS (Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme) is a physical measurement and check required when registering a trailer or heavy vehicle for the first time in Queensland. We are an Approved Inspection Station (AIS) and can handle both certifications for you.
Q: Do I have to bring my machine to your Bells Bridge workshop?
Not necessarily. We operate a fleet of mobile service units that can travel to your depot, job site, or farm throughout Gympie, Curra, and the wider Wide Bay region. However, for major engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls, we recommend bringing the vehicle to our fully equipped workshop at Bells Bridge for the most efficient repair.
Q: I have a breakdown in the middle of the night. Are you really 24/7?
Yes. We understand that the transport and earthmoving industries don’t stop at 5 PM. We offer a genuine 24/7 emergency breakdown service. Whether you’ve blown a hose on the highway or have a harvester down during a night harvest, call 07 5408 2711 and we will dispatch a technician.
Q: Do you work on agricultural machinery and tractors?
Absolutely. We service a wide range of farm machinery, including tractors, irrigation pumps, slashers, and harvesters. We understand the seasonal urgency of farming in the Gympie region and prioritise quick turnaround times during harvest periods.
Q: I have a Muscat Trailer. Will using you void my warranty?
No. We are the authorised Muscat Trailer Repairer for the region. This means we are factory-approved to carry out servicing, and maintenance on all Muscat units (including walking floors and side tippers). Note we do not do warranty repairs on behalf of Muscat unless authorised.
Q: My truck is losing power and the DPF light is on. Can you clean it? A: Yes. We offer specialised DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), EGR, and TFS cleaning
Instead of replacing these expensive components, we can often professionally clean them to remove soot build-up, restoring your engine’s power and fuel efficiency. We recommend booking this as part of your scheduled maintenance to avoid de-rating.
